Positive
  • It is a very good value for money.
  • 144Hz-Display
  • Powerful hardware for a good price.
Negatives
  • Storage is low.
  • Under load gets loud and warm.
  • Very large case.

It’s not easy to find a high quality gaming laptop for little money. You have to make compromises when it comes to cooling, performance, design and battery life. The battery of the Gigabyte G5 is good and it offers decent performance for gaming in high definition.

In its cheapest configuration, the G5 already has plenty, including a fast 15 inchIPS panel, an Intel Core i5 11400H, 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD, and an RTX 3050 Ti.

If you’re looking for an affordable gaming laptop that still has plenty of power, you should go for it. It doesn’t really matter if it gets louder because the performance and workmanship are right.

  • Very good value for money
  • 240Hz-Display
  • Good battery
  • Powerful gaming performance
Negatives
  • Loud fans
  • Only 15 inches
  • Only 512 GB SSD

The F15 is still one of the best gaming laptops. The combination of an FHDIPS display, Intel i7 11800H, 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD and the powerful RTX 3060 is virtually unbeatable for the price.

The TUF Gaming A15 is an incredibly versatile machine that can be used in a variety of ways. There are only a few comparable models that offer a display and a good battery at the same price.

A lot of performance at a good price is what you expect from a great gaming laptop, and that’s what the ASUS TUF Gaming F15 offers. The speakers are not as good as they could be and theWebcam is not as good as it could be, but it shines where it should.

The latest version of the Blade 15 improves on one of the best gaming laptops ever made. It has the same beautiful aluminum body as its predecessor, but this time it can house a 12th generation Intel processor and a graphics card.

The latest models improve graphics processing even further and support an RTX 3080 Ti, which is incredible in this small case. The number of configurations that Razer offers for the Blade 15 is what we like the most about it. There is a model for almost everyone from the basic edition to the high end model. The Blade 15 is a beautiful gaming laptop that is still powerful.

The best gaming notebook on the market is the Razer Blade 15. Good cooling, high quality workmanship, good performance, moderate volume and many extra functions are combined here. This comes at a price, sadly.

Are you looking for a gaming laptop that is small and strong? The Alienware X17 is your thing if you have the budget. Even with the cheapest equipment, you have to be stupid here.

You get something for your money, too. The Alienware X17 can run all modern titles with good frame rates at its native 4K resolution and can reach 60 frames per second even with ray tracing enabled.

The thin thickness of the X17 makes it different from other gaming laptops. The piece is 2.1 cm thick and has plenty of power. There is a stylish keyboard. Even under heavy gaming load, the X17 is surprisingly quiet and cool to operate.

The X17 is still the best compact 4K gaming laptop on the market, even though the price and performance ratio isn’t the best.

You can’t get much more performance out of a laptop than this one. With an Intel i9 12900H and a GeForce RTX 3070, you have a gaming laptop that makes desktop PCs sweat.

Even the best monitors will be jealous of the 2K display. The 17 inch housing gives the components a bit more room to breathe. You get a cool and quiet piece of gaming here with the excellent cooling system. The extra space has allowed for the squeeze of an optomechanical keyboard into the Scar 17.

That part is expensive but it is worth it. The Scar 17 is the best choice if you want a 17 inch gaming laptop.

How do I choose the right laptop?

What should you pay attention to when choosing a gaming laptop? Please find your answers below.

If you don’t have enough space for a thick monitor and tower, a good gaming laptop is often worth it. It’s possible that you have two homes and travel a lot, be it your job, girlfriend or family. You’ll find out what you need to pay attention to before buying a gaming notebook and what a gaming laptop must be able to do.

I don’t know how much I should spend?

Even with the laptops we recommend here for under 1000, you can play game very well.

What graphics card is needed for my gaming laptop?

The graphics card is the most important part of your laptop. Don’t save money and spend more. A lot helps, but we recommend one with at least 4GB VRAM.

High end models aren’t always ideal in tight cases because of the amount of cooling required in newer models.

An RTX 3080 Ti is slower in an ultra small case than it is in a more spacious one.

Does my gaming laptop need to have powerful processor to play game?

It depends on what you want to do with the computer. Video editing and gaming can be done with a high end processor that has many cores and threads.

The clock speed is more important in gaming laptops than the number of cores in the processor.

How much memory is needed for a gaming laptop?

If you want to have no problems with current games, you should aim for a minimum of 8GB of ram.

The minimum requirement for games like Mass Effect Andromeda or Battlefield 1 is 8GB, so it’s better to add the extra space. If you want to stream or have several programs running at the same time, we recommend 16 gigabytes of RAM. You can simply retrofit in the future.

Which display should I look at?

A coating on displays prevents reflections. The displays are a bit more muddy or blurry than glossy ones.

More contrast and richer colors are offered by glossy or reflective screens. In well lit environments, such as the office or outside, the reflection problem is the most severe.

Glossy displays aren’t the best choice if you play outside on the balcony or terrace. If you can’t keep your room dark enough, we advise against reflective displays.

Which resolution is worth it?

Some gaming laptops have 4K displays. We still advise against it, even though it will probably be the new standard in a few years.

4K displays are cool, but they drain the battery even faster and require a lot more processing power. If laptop batteries continue to improve, 4K may be an option, but until then.

Stick with resolutions of 1920×1080 or 2K/QHD.
